Not see Carol at BIR will be hard. She was such a super person and a wonderful friend. Carol always made it a point to come to our suite at the track to say "Hi". She was a friend to everyone at BIR!!! Thanks for all the memories. And thanks for all the wonderful pictures that I will be able to remember my dad with. I hope you know what a wonderful woman Carol was. Thanks for sharing her with us!!!!

We were commenting again just this week, as we often have since the end of October, "It's so hard to believe Carol is gone from our lives." Carol was a dear and respected colleague and friend. We still miss her terribly, but we also cherish great memories of our times together at HTC.

Carol and I were farm neighbors and she was my first and always my best girl friend even though we went our separate ways. I am trying to find an essay Carol wrote her senior year in high school which was read before the U.S. House of Representatives and Carol's name was put in Who's Who for the year. I'd like to find a copy of that speech. Can anyone help me? In my first library search at our community college, I wasn't successful. I plan to keep trying. I always thought Carol and I would have time some day to continue discussing all those issues we really cared about in those years.

I do hope there will be more entries in this book soon, because Carol touched so many lives. She always took the time to ask how you were or more importantly to secretly take your picture. As evidenced by her famous slide show of all of us racers. Rare is the photo that looks posed. All of Carols photos reflected some piece of life as it was moving at that moment. Her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her!

I have great memories when in confirmation at Hauges Lutheran Church at Bergen with Carol and all the adventures we had walking threw Kilen Woods State Park in Jackson County. We also were big fans at the Brainard Race Track and didn't realize that Carol was there. My thoughts are with all of you in your great loss. Would love to visit with Shanda.

While we only knew Carol from the racetrack, we loved the way she photographed what drag racing was all about. Carol took some wonderful pictures of our children and my husband. We are sincerely going to miss the way she was able to capture the family aspect of racing. Carol you fought a valiant fight! We wish her family comfort in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
