Roger was a fine man and friend. We both collected Creek Chub Beetles and had a lot of fun talking Creek Chub history, trading lures and sometimes competing for a few rare Beetles. He always left me with a smile on my face at the end of our conversations and always spoke of his love for his family. I'll be missing you, Roger!

Debbie and family, I cannot express how much I will really miss Roger. Not just as my Doctor, but as a life-long friend. He not only took care of my Dad, whom passed at age 86, but also took care of me. Back in the early days, Roger, John Hobaugh, Marcia Trew, and I used to carpool together to McNeese. They used to get upset when it was my turn to drive, because my 1958 Chevrolet had no brakes. We'd have to "coast" around the parking lot and eventually come to a stop someplace.

My dad, Roger, Dr. John Romero, and John Hearn used to get together on Tuesday afternoons, at my dad's house to discuss their latest fishing lure collectibles. I enjoyed stopping and visiting with them.

I will really miss him. Nick Kanelakos
