To my dearest Auntie,
I wonder
How can it be
That so much time has passed
Since we hugged -
It can’t be possible - you see,

For everyday just went too fast
As I fumbled through my to-do list
And class
I forgot how much you meant to me
My heart, my soul, my past.

I had eternal plans to travel
To see you now and then
To hug you and to chat –
To be your doting friend.

I thought I had forever
To make my plans come true,
Yet I have found myself recalling
My most treasured thoughts of you.

My fondest Auntie memories,
Include so many things,
But in this time of sadness,
I can only see -
A thoughtful smiling angel,
With glowing, pretty wings.

Yet my most valued lesson
That I learned from you,
I must admit I learned this week
Please trust I’ll take your cue

That my most loving family
Will never have to guess
Just how much I love them,
And want for them, the best.

Oh, my dearest Auntie
I’m not that ready to say good-bye,
In fact I’m sure I have a million tears
I still have yet to cry.

Remember that we love you
And will miss you every day.
And know we’ll never forget you,
Or your thoughtful, caring way.

Love, Kim

To those Marilyn adored:

The ultimate Mother Hubbard, taking care of all she came in contact with, her character will live on beyond us all. My life was blessed by having known your dear one.
There are some people on this earth that leave a huge impression, even if the time of the encounter is very small. Marilyn's spirit of mentoring will be a part of all who even spoke with her. She will be terribly missed.
May the comfort of Jesus Christ embrace your hearts and give you sweet peace.

Dear Family and friends of Marilyn

Please accept my condolences for the loss of this remarkable woman. I am grateful to have known and worked with her. Marilyn was a person of such high calibre and even though I knew her for less than 2 years her impact will be felt for a lifetime. I celebrate the fact that at the time of her passing she couldnt have been happier, forever young and forever happy in our memory.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just had been hired at St. Vincents last month and I met Marilyn during an orientation class for the computer system. She introduced herself with a warm smile then proceeded to introduce me to the rest of the staff saying Brenda will be joining us on our shift. Well this was the only contact I had with her but just that extension of welcoming me will last forever. I will never forget her kindness towards me.

God Bless,
Brenda
