I still remember him well. He was my favorite professor. I can't wait to see him in heaven.

My prayers and thoughts are with everyone during this hard time. It was very special to me for uncle Clyde to give my husband and I a prayer of blessing during our marriage ceremony, because he was the one who married my parents (Jan and Ben Young)

I was young when Clyde came into our family, and it took many years for me to appreciate his fine qualities. He was so quiet and reserved, I didn't know how to talk to him. I am so glad that I had the opportunities to share in his sense of humor, his love of God and the Bible, and his willingness to share with others, along with Frances. How blessed we all have been to have him in our family. Ruth

Aunt Frances, As I'm sure you know, Uncle Clyde was a great inspiration to me. While I never had him for a class - just being in the family with such a scholar gave me a boost toward learning more. Love ya'

One Christmas, I asked Uncle Clyde about the Book of Revelations. He explained the book in such a manner that I finally felt as though I "got it". I really appreciated his mind.

My prayers are with the family of "Brother" Miller. I had SO wanted to be at the service today. As a student at Lipscomb in the late 70s/early 80s, he was my favorite professor. I would get the schedule of what he was to teach and work in the rest of my hours around him. He taught me to love the Psalms--I've taught it to each and every church I've served.
His humility was always in evidence. His gentle wit and humor were such a breath of fresh aire. He took such a genuine interest in his students.
We have lost a true treasure--but I expect that he is even now talking to King David about some of those weird lines of Hebrew parallelism.

Mrs. Miller, Teresa, and family,
I heard about the death of Mr. Miller this morning. I am teaching at Ezell Harding Christian School here in Antioch. Since I was unable to make it to the funeral, I wanted to send my sympathy to you and your family. I will try to get in touch with you later. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

One of the great men in my life...as a college schoolmate, my graduate professor, travelling together in the Bible lands, and a true friend. He will be missed. My love to Frances and the family.

Dr Miller was my teacher for "Psalms" during the spring quarter of 1979 at Lipscomb - hardest Bible teacher I ever had.
But I still remember what he taught us in that Bible class, and I am forever grateful to this man for that. My condolences to the family for your loss.

Brother Clyde Miller was preaching for the Ripley (Miss) church of Christ in 1955 when I obeyed the gospel. I was twelve years old.
I visited with him and his wife about four years ago in their home in Nashville. For over an hour we talked about the folks in Ripley who had influenced our lives so much. I was impressed with how, after over forty years, the Millers still were in touch with the lives of people in Ripley.
I will always remember and be indebted to the man who baptized me into Christ over fifty-three years ago.
My sympathy is extended sister Miller and all the family.

Dear Aunt Frances, Teresa, Dennis, Stephen and Tony,
I really wish I could join you and the entire Tyree family during this time to say my farewell to Uncle Clyde and to be with you. I speak of him often and how he performed our wedding ceremony. My heart is sad as I miss him, but know he is in a better place. My love to each of you. Love, Peggy
