Colonel Streiff came to the 2nd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment in the early 1960's as the Executive Officer. I was the Squadron S-4. He left an impression on me that lasted throughout my service. He was a superb officer, a gentleman, and filled with dedication to our mission. I was fortunate to meet him.
