Roberto DeLuna Obituary
EDINBURG - Mr. Roberto DeLuna was born on August 19, 1920 in Bay City,TX. He entered eternal rest on Monday Sept. 17, 2007, at the Solara Hospital of McAllen at the age of 87 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Teresa De Luna; and his parents, Pedro and Guadalupe De Luna; a brother, Emilio De Luna; a sister, Juanita Guzman; a son, Joe De Luna; a daughter, Gloria Iglesias; and grandson, Jaime Lopez.
He is survived by his five children, Justo (Susie) De Luna of Edinburg, Rudy (Tina) De Luna of San Juan, Arnold (Mary) Espericueta of Pharr, Josie (Ray) Gonzalez of Edinburg, Linda (Carlos) Lopez of Edinburg; also 25 grandchildren; numerous of great-grandchildren; and numerous of great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Antonio Wong and the staff of Solara Hospital and Rehab. of McAllen.
Public visitation will be on Tuesday Sept. 18, 2007, at Gonzalez Family Funeral Home, 812 E. Cano, from 4 to 9 p.m. The holy rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church of Edinburg. Burial will follow to Valley Memorial Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral arrangements and services are being directed by Gonzalez Family Funeral Home, LLC. of Edinburg.
