Kenneth Maclean Obituary

MACLEAN, Kenneth Irving - January 9, 1956 - November 24, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Kenny on Monday, November 24, 2008. Beloved son of Margaret, father to Devlin and brother to Donald (Kelly), Morag (Robert) and Pamela (Paul). Memories of his playful and loving spirit will be cherished by his niece and nephews, Meagan, Rory, Sean, Alexander and Max. Those who knew Kenny know that music was not just his career but his passion. Over the last 30 years he enjoyed well documented success as a musician, singer and songwriter, and over the last several years added producer to the list. But outside of all this, Kenny will be remembered most as a kind, good hearted and compassionate person who treated everyone he met as if they mattered most. A remembrance and celebration of Kenny's life will take place at Metropolitan United Church, 56 Queen St. East, Toronto at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 4th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Humber College in support of student scholarships.

I met Kenny many years ago in Markham when he was visiting his grandfather at my neighbour's house. What a lovely person!! My daughter (who was in elementary school at the time) still remembers Kenny helping her with her homework during his visits. He was a kind, loving person who had so much to offer to the world. My condolences to the entire family.

My thoughts go out to his whole family & extended family of great friends....Kenny will definitely be missed.
I knew him years ago & although I hadn't seen in in quite some time, I feel a strange void since I heard of his passing.
Take care, everyone...

My heart and thoughts are with all of his family. I had the pleasure of working with Kenny many years back and he forever has lived in my heart. I had been thinking of him alot over the past few months since I met another co-worker from that time. Kenny touched many people's lives in such a positive way and left his footprints in everyone's hearts. ROCK ON KENNY!!!

I was not a friend of Kenny's, but like many was a fan. I communicated with him a few times over the years, initially through letters when I was a 12 year old member of the Platinum Blonde Fan Club. He always replied and always made me feel as though he was genuinely happy to hear from me. Some of my happiest memories are of those letters, his music and what it meant to me during that time of my life. He obviously had some wonderful blessings in his life, but we were the blessed ones to have had him & his gifts for as long as we did. My heartfelt sympathy to his son, mother, sisters, brother, entire family & friends.
