Columbia Plane Crash Victims Obituary

Post condolences for those killed or injured in the private jet crash that happened late Friday night at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport

Two of the victims of the airplane crash have been identified as the pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, California and co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, California. A third victim has been identified as Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, California, Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said.

Chris Baker is the personal assistant to Travis Barker of blink-182, Harmon said.

Charles Still, 25, of Riverside, California, who is a security guard for Travis Barker, has been identified as a fourth victim of the crash, the coroner's office said.

Injured in the crash were Travis Barker and his performing partner DJ-AM.

My prayers are with the families that lost their love ones in the plane crash. We as Christian know that is to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord. To the families, all you have to do is to reflect on the years that God allowed each of them to be on this earth in your life and the good times that you shared. As parents I grieve with you because it has been two week since I laid my 29 years old to rest. To loss a child is hard because we live the life that our children will bury us. To the wife and husband, to loss a spouse that you spend so many years are deeply felt in my heart. Trust God and know that he makes no mistake.

My heart goes out to all of you that are grieving. I KNOW first hand what you are having to deal with as my only sibling (brother) and his son (only child) were flying home to SC from Texas where they lived. They were going to land in Arkansas to refuel early in the a.m.- the fog was very heavy and my nephew (PILOT) hit a radio tower, plane crashed, and both were killed instantly. My brother was 53 and my nephew was 32.
My heart grieves everyday for both of them, but I have only cherished memories to keep me going. This happened March 15, 2003 and still seems like only yesterday.

MEMORIES ARE A GIFT FROM GOD THAT DEATH CANNOT DESTROY.

With Heartfelt Sympathy,

Even in our best of times and in the worse of them it is so hard to beleive that god already knew. As hard as it is to say good bye just know it is all in his plan . And just know I can only extend to you my heart felt condolences. But we have a good that can give you so much more . So at this time it is my prayer that you will alloow him so show his will ,his love and his grace . For he is to wise to make a mistake and to just to do anything wrong. Alway remember he knows and does what is best. So in this time i give all of you to god .

Even though I did not know those who were in this crash, I do wish to leave my condolences to their familys. These are hard times and believe me you will get through them. It just takes time and deep faith and prayers.
My son-in-law Josh was there to comfort the survivors, Travis and DJ-AM until medical help could arrive, it will take love and prayers to get them through these rough times of healing and understanding. I wish them the fasting of healing.
Those who crossed over, I wish the family and friends strenght and fast healing.
God bless each of you!
Sincerely,
Nancy Hammer

1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God[a]; trust also in me. 2In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Please accept my deepest sympathy to those families and friends of those loved ones who perished in the crash late Friday night. I am deeply sorry for your losses. They did such a wonderful service to all people (entertaining) and unfortunately were away from their families while providing entertainment around the country. People all over loved them and and those that perished were in this industry to aid the entertainers. My God be with you during this difficult time, and may you know that America loves you for allowing your loved ones to be with us and loved them for the service they provided to us.

To the Barkers and Goldstiens: May your recovery be brief and fulfilling and 100 %. Thank you for the service you have provided so many people. No one understands the sheer danger every entertainer goes through until something tragic like this happens, and we no one ever tells you guys that we truly appreciate you for your gifts until it is too late. Unfortunately, it is a little too late. We do appreciate you. America appreciates you. Thank you for traveling and sharing your gift and it has to be hard to be away from your loved ones.
God Bless you guys. Thanks again.
May God grant you everything you have dreamed of and a speedy recovery.

To the families of the Barker's and Goldstien's: Recovery will be difficult, but the physical will be easier than the psychological. Please stay by their sides as they will need you every step of the way. God Bless you.
