To Mr. Franklin and the Kilby family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you as much comfort as my memories of Betty will bring me. Betty and I worked together for the VCCS for many years until her recent retirement. Betty was a wonderful person, and loved to read and write poems. I'll always remember her letters to the editor of the RTD, her Tiger Woods scrapbooks, and the church baskets she would make for the homeless. She often talked about her love for her family and friends, especially Ms. Ida, whom she would call daily. For now Betty, may you rest in peace.
