Mildred Bernice Hay

HAY, Mildred Bernice, age 91, of Richmond, Va., passed away August 6, 2008, after a brief illness. Mildred leaves behind her five loving children and their spouses, Robert Hay and wife, Linda, Janet Means and husband, Larry, Karen Williams and husband, Richard, Jonathan Hay and wife, Bridget, and her devoted youngest daughter, Debra Hay-Pierce and husband, Marshall. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert A. Hay. Mildred was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mildred's priorities in life were her husband and children, for whom she made many sacrifices. Mildred's memory will be treasured forever by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN), 1506 Staples Mill Rd., Richmond, Va. A memorial service will be held on August 16, at 3 p.m. in the Carriage Hill Apartments Clubhouse.
