Mary,
It's hard to believe a year has passed since I learned of Misi's passing. I know your heart sees her smile every day. I know we've both missed each others calls a few times, but I would love for you to call me at your convenience (same cell #514-1406). I am still working both jobs and going to RN school full time at nights and on weekends. Your voice would be a welcomed sound as you have always been an inspiration to me. I know how lucky your girls and many others, like myself, have been to have you as a role model. Thank you, Teresa Mason xo

Totally shocked.I lost touch with Misi when she left Spain and always hoped to get back in touch one day...We shared a lot of life during her San Sebastian years. I will remember her generosity, her humour, her sharp intelligence and musicality forever. She is an unforgettable. person. My sincere condolences to her family.

Misi was a loving and generous friend - I have many fond memories from our days at Oberlin and Cincinnati. All the wonderful meals and treats she made, the great concerts and operas we performed together. She was always willing to lend a hand, or listen and offer good advice. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and I share in your loss.

Dear Fred, Anne, Mr. & Mrs. Musulin & daughters,
Misi & I met and roomed together at West Virginia University Fine Arts Music Camp back in 1974. Misi ended up going to Oberlin and I stayed at West Virginia majoring in music. We stayed somewhat in touch over the years, both marrying and becoming parents. And after all these years, we both continued playing the horn. I truly regret being unable to go to her performance back in May. Now I can never hear her perform or even say goodbye. Please know that my thought and prayers will be with you always.

There just are not words to say how my heart hurts for you but the tears rolling down my face would tell you how I feel. I miss you Fred. Dear Misi's Family,
I am very sad to learn of Misi's death today. I knew her at Oberlin and we had adventure after adventure rehearsing and performing together. I learned a lot from her, later found out we were both performing in Europe at the same time, and was so happy when she moved to Richmond where I was performing with the RSO. I truly enjoyed spending time talking with Misi about her music, travels, and cooking. The pain of your loss is enormous - my heart and thoughts and prayers are with you, as they are with Misi's parents, who suffer a different and also devastating kind of pain. We have lost a sensitive, kind, creative, and gentle person.
Always remind Mikey and Cristina how deeply their mother wanted, cherished, loved, and enjoyed them, how proud she was of them, and how much she wanted to stay here with them. She is still, and will always be, with them, only from a different place. They will need your help to stay in touch with her.

To Misi's family,
I'm so sad for your loss. She loved her family and her music. I can't imagine the Richmond Philharmonic without Misi. She was so passionate about music and such a talented musician. I will miss her.
Misi also taught Spanish to one of my daughters at Shortpump Elementary and encouraged her to speak Spanish whenever we happened to meet around town. Misi was a wonderful teacher and will be missed by many students.
