Everett Hale Obituary

HALE, Everett Vaughan Sr., 73, of Ashland, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, June Dishman Hale; a son, Everett Vaughan Hale Jr. and wife, Deborah; four grandchildren, Joseph and wife, Shelley, Kimberly, Samantha, and Ashley Hale; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Sara Hale. He is also survived by one brother, Oscar Hale, and two sisters, Grace Orrock and Dorothy Merritt. Mr. Hale was a 50-year member of Ashland Masonic Lodge #168 A.F. & A.M., a past patron of the Hanover Chapter #130 O.E.S., and he retired as a produce manager with Safeway after 40 years of service. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 17, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service being held at 6 p.m., in the Nelsen Funeral Homes' Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 18. Interment to follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association or Kenwood United Methodist Church Choir Fund.
