Alvin Janutolo

JANUTOLO, Alvin, 81, of Midlothian, Va., died at his home on Friday, August 15, 2008. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1966 after serving 22 years in active duty. He then worked 23 years for the Department of Transportation. He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and the Chesterfield Ruritan Club. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy "Dot" Ranger Janutolo; two daughters, Sylecia Janutolo and her husband, Dr. John McLaulin, and Tralena Walker and her husband, Joe; two brothers, Bernice and Ben; several nieces and nephews and two special nieces, Betty-Anne Clark Roberson and Rev. Pamela Clark Egan; and 10 grandchildren. His family will receive friends 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Providence United Methodist Church, followed by interment with military honors at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
