Allen was a wonderful person. His smile was infectious, his laugh contagious. I will hold dear the memories I have and mostly the gratitude for having them. It brings me comfort that Allen is finally sitting at Heaven's Gate with a smile on his face and Margaret in his arms. My thoughts go out to Maben. I love you both so dearly. Allen will surely be missed.

The strangest things happen to a person. I thought of Allan tonight and called his cell. I wanted to just chat with him and see how life was. Just now my wife asked me to look up someone else's obituary and I happened to see this. I am terribly saddened to read of our loss. I hope he got to use the "big boat" lately. My family's thoughts are with his loved ones. Allan was always good for great advice. I will miss him.

It was my honor to officiate at the wedding of Bev and Allan. What a sweetheart Allan was; I enjoyed our phone conversations when I occasionally called to say hello. Bev, you have been a good and trusted friend since those days in the PICU at St. Mary's. Later we shared some of my most cherished times as we teamed together in hospice. You are the best! May the special love you and Allan shared comfort you and make you smile.
