Ralph Eason "Pete" Proctor

PROCTOR, Ralph Eason "Pete", 73, died August 22, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Martha Skinner Proctor; three sons, Brian Eason Proctor and wife, Karin, of South Lake, Texas; Douglas Reid Hite and wife, Anna, of Charlotte, N.C.; and Lt. Col. Hampton Edward Hite, Kabul, Afghanistan; four granddaughters, Emily Carson Proctor, Amanda Hite Pardue, Caroline Elizabeth Hite, and Katherine Virginia Hite; one grandson, George Webb Proctor; and one great-grandson, Dillon Reid Pardue; two sisters, Jean P. Pair and Evelyne P. Allen; and brother, Bobby Proctor. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees and was the owner of and retired from Proctor Tire Company. The family will receive friends in the Proctor home or at Echols Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Emporia Cemetery. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Main Street United Methodist Church, 105 Church St., Emporia, Va. 23847; Lebanon United Methodist Church, 25153 Blue Star Hwy., Jarratt, Va. 23867; Emporia Volunteer Fire Department, or Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
