Patricia Sellers Obituary

SELLERS, Patricia Tucker, 67, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2008, having been recently diagnosed with cancer. Her memory will be cherished by her devoted daughter, Amanda Wynn; aunts, Genevieve Melton of Ashland and Goldie Crowder of Richmond; niece, Linda Parker and family of Henderson, Nev.; nephew, Phillip Smith of Mechanicsville; and many cousins, notably Evelyn Leadbetter and Lou Montgomery. She was predeceased by her sisters, Phyllis H. Smith and Melba H. Lipscomb. Patricia was born in Richmond and lived here all her life. She will be remembered mostly for her strong work ethic and devotion to family and friends. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, at St. James's Episcopal Church, 1205 W. Franklin St., Richmond, Va.

dear amanda,
i'm very saddened to learn of your mother's death. during my time as the pastor of st. bridget's, patricia was most helpful, always kind, and certainly dedicated. she was an excellent resource not only for me, but for many, many people in the parish. needless to add, i appreciate all that she did to help me.
