BINGLEY, Emma Kate, 92, died August 27, 2008. "Nannie" was preceded in death by Roger Bingley, Ray Briggs, and her son, Burhl Briggs. She is survived by her daughter, Christine B. Taylor and her husband, Frank; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. This loving, patient lady will be remembered by her family for her love of God, family and her happy, humorous disposition, even in the face of despair. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. tomorrow, also at the funeral home, with a burial in Rose Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Providence Forge Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 177, Providence Forge, Va., 23140, or to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, Mass. 01202.
