I have heard stories of Horace all my life. He was first cousin to my Grandfather (W.T. (Bill) Hastings). Last year when making a Heritage book for Nottoway County Historical Society I was asked to write an article about my Grandparents. Horace provided information I didn't know through my Aunt Mary Hastings (James' wife). It is certainly my loss for never getting to meet Horace. May God Bless you and comfort you at this time.

Always remember the love goes with you and the memories bring such comfort and love. We will always remember Horace and his big booming smile and laugh. He and Earl were truly a pair! Now we celebrate his claiming the promise of the resurrection. May God comfort you until the sun shines again. Fondly Babara & Alan Henderson

How sad I am to hear of another fallen friend. Dad (Elmo Sprenkle) and Horace were fishing buddies ever since I can remember. Horace and Earle were Mom (Eugenia Vial Sprenkle) and Dad's friends back futher than I go! My heart yearns for all the old guard (Earle, Ma Goop, Wayne, Reggie, Mama and Daddy and too many others to name here), whom Horace now joins. Goodbye my friend. Your will be missed. Condolensces to all the family, but especially to Boo, Bliss, and Barbara.
