HILL, Margaret Virginia Brown, age 97, widow of George Anderson Hill Sr. and a retiree of the former William Byrd Press (now Cadmus Cenveo Commun-ications), died Thursday, September 4, 2008. She is survived by her three sons, George Anderson Hill Jr., Douglas Milton Hill and his wife, Valerie Marie Watson Hill, and Donald Wesley Hill and his wife, Forrest Anne Harris Hill, all of Richmond; six grandchildren, Brian Anderson Hill of San Clemente, Calif., Daniel Anderson Hill of Richmond, Casey Weston Hill and his wife, Stacey Barrow Hill, of Virginia Beach, Anna Virginia Hill Wagg and her husband, Scudder Wagg, of Richmond, Taelor Elizabeth Hill Antunes and her husband, Mario Antunes, of Faro, Portugal, and Margaret Kemmerer Hill of Richmond; two stepgrandsons, Craig Ronald Caldwell of Richmond and Bret Thomas Caldwell of Greenville, S.C.; one great-grandson, Gabriel Antunes of Faro, Portugal; one sister, Frances Brown Glazebrook of Richmond; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and a charter member of the Scottish Society of Richmond. The family will receive friends from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 7, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 8, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, with entombment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.

Margaret was such a treasure--always cheerful and upbeat and had such great love for all her family. She was a big help with my genealogy research and generously shared family stories and pictures with me. I'm grateful I had the pleasure of knowing her. I just wish we'd started our friendship sooner.
