Rufus Smith gave my father an opportunity to have a business. My father was James F Lanham, Jr. and he owned Stratford Hills Plumbing and Heating. Mr. Smith and his family were very kind to my Dad and Mr. Smith was very respected by my Mother and Father. I attended Huguenot High School with Linda Smith whom I met in 9th grade English class. If anyone can help me find Linda, I would greatly appreciate that. Thank you, Gary Lanham. I know it's been 10 years since Mr. Smith's death, but time never stops for great men like him.

To the Smith's family my thoughts and prayers are with you , I will never forget the wonderful prayers that were prayed by cousin Rufus and the flowing tears as he talk about Jesus Christ who was always ahead of his life and I will never forget all of the encouragement he use to give to me and my husband about putting Christ first in our life, how deeply he will be missed from The Guildfield Baptist Church, but I know he is resting in Christ arms no more pain no more suffering he is at peace may God continue to comfort and keep you in his tender loving care, and to Audrey hold on to all those wonderful memories that you and your dad shared together...God Bless
