McLAMB, Billy L. "Sam," 71, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord and his son, Gregory Alan, September 17, 2008. He was born September 20, 1936, one of 13 children born to Arthur and Vonnie McLamb in Benson, N.C. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice F. McLamb; four children, Billy R. McLamb and his wife, Linda, Donnie L. McLamb and his wife, Becky, W. Gary McLamb and his wife, Chris, and Cindy F. McLamb and her son, Mason; one brother, William McLamb; four sisters, Louise Mitchell, Pat Capps, Mabel McLamb and Florence McLamb; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. The family will also receive friends 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, N.C. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Raleigh Memorial Park.

Aunt Alice and all
I'm sorry for all you have been through recently with Uncle Samp. That is the way I remember his name being pronounced when we were younger. But then you know our speech background. I know he'll be greatly missed. Love ya and hope to see you in Raleigh.
