Marion Peters Obituary

PETERS, Marion J., 83, of Richmond, a resident of Lexington Court, formerly of Highland Springs, entered into heavenly rest on Friday, September 19, 2008. She was the widow of Robert W. Peters, and was preceded in death by her son, Robert Bruce Peters. Mrs. Peters is survived by her son, Gary Petoria of Charlottesville; and her dear friends of over 40 years, Clyde and Nancy Shumaker. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Highland Springs, Va., and was a retired administrative assistant from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Her family will receive friends Monday, September 22, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 811 W. Nine Mile Road, Highland Springs, Va. 23075. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Peters' memory may be made to St. John's Catholic Church.
