Joy,
My sincerest sympathy is with you and Glen. I was so saddened to hear about your Mom. I think back (often, believe it or not) to all of the summers at the Sandston Pool. How fortunate each of us were to have had all those fun summers (& memories) together. I still remember all the Sunday afternoons when the "Big Guys" would show up & do cannon balls off the high dive - trying to splash all of the lady sunbathers! I think of Glen doing that, Lin, Brad Marshall, Frizzell...! Thinking back on the best times - well, seems to help get us through those that are our most difficult. Please know that there are so many people keeping you & your family in their thoughts & prayers. I am. Remember to share your memories everyday...it helps to smile and laugh, even when it hurts & you may feel so empty. I hope the laughter through tears will soon be replaced by feelings of peace and that of being blessed! We really were, you know? God Bless, Joy!

Glen and joy
I was very sorry to hear about your mother passing. It has been some time since I last saw her. She was one of my favorite people, a joy to be around. Again, I am sorry about your loss.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, family and community member. She and G.G. taught their son Glenn how to be a loving father to our daughter Alie.
Her legacy of devotion and caring lives on in her children and grandchildren.
I deeply regret not having more opportunities to share life with her. We always think there will be more time.
I respect and honor her memory fondly.
Her loving daughter-in-law,
Kris

Joy and Glenn,
Your mom was a mom to us all. She was always there, always supportive during our young days, the teenage times and so helpful to me after my dad and mom passed away. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with great sorrow that I see Mrs. Johnson has passed away. She was a great person that supported all of us as youth. I will always have fond memories of Mrs. Johnson from the Sandston pool, Sandston Jets, and the Highland Springs Springers. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dobson and Johnson family.
