MITCHELL, Glenn Curtis, age 65, died September 24, 2008 in Ormond Beach, Fla. A native of Ashland, Va., he retired as a captain with the Richmond Bureau of Fire. He is survived by his wife, Lee; one son, Ronald (Gretchen) Mitchell of Richmond, Va.; two stepsons, Douglas (Kathie) Kisamore of Montpelier, Va., and Lance (Sandy) Kisamore of Charleston, S.C.; two grandsons, Andrew Kisamore of Richmond, Va., and Mitchell Kisamore of Charleston, S.C.; and one sister, Carlene (Tom) Bass of Ashland, Va. An Air Force veteran, and always involved in the life of his community, Glenn was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach and a former member and past president, of the Ormond Beach Lions Club and the Ashland Lions Club. He also was a member of the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company and the Hanover Country Club. A celebration of Glenn's life will take place at a later date. I was so sadded to hear of Glen's passing. My condolences and sympathies go out to Lee and his family. It was always great to see him at Julian's!

Glenn was 1 of the finest people I've ever known!. Always modest but yet, he knew his job & expected you to do your's. I am very proud to consider Glenn as a brother in arms in the Fire Bureau! Enjoyed having Glenn & Morris @ the golf outing @ Myrtle Beach! May God Bless you & your's in this time of sorrow! Don (Julio) VeRell (Tac Squad 2, ret.)
