To the family, of Mrs. Ruff-Thompson I send my deepest condolences, I remember when I was 12 years old and Mrs. Ruff asked me about baptism , at first I was'nt trying to accept the important task that she was giving me then she told me " God has something great for your life, and baptism is a way of showing God your appreciation for life and the special talents that he blessed us all with " and that will always be in my heart, right next to her picture. God bless

Our prayers are with the family of Sis Delores during this time of her homegoing celebration. My husband was friends with her as she reached out to help him in a time when his life was entramped by the things of the world thus I met her after he made a move to NC and we were married, but she was a constant source of encouragement to us both as we started a new journal in life. Her heart was feeled with service and love for others and I know that there are smiles and sunshine in the home we all seek to find someday.

May you find peace in knowing that she was one of Gods chosen which was shown through her walk on this earth.

Our thoughts and paryers are with you in your time of grief. Sister Ruff-Thompson will be truly missed. No other human, can ever duplicate the joy, warmth and love that she radiated. Her voice rings out in my memory as vibrant and crisp as if just heard in a concert. I will always remember her loving words of concern “are you doing ok” and her evangelistic enthusiasm of “keep praying”. She was a part of the church family I loved and looked forward to see, and I will, most definitely miss. I pray that your sorrow of her passing will not be long but your memory of her joy, love, and energy last forever. May God continue to bless you all, and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Ruff-Thompson family
The Lord giveth. He gave us Sis Delores, a sister in Christ, a friend, a true christian; one who loved the Lord and constantly shared His love and the blessings she experienced in that relationship with everyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed, but has left us with the hope that we will meet her again in the earth made new, where we will never part again. Let's hold on to this assurance.

I would like to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the Carolyn Delores Ruff-Thompson family. I have known Delores in many ways and have been closely affiliated with her in many church activities. My most fondest memory of her will be her singing "Midnight Cry." To this day that song rings in my ear when I am feeling down low. May God Bless her family and keep you in his care.

You were truly a servant of God. I never really knew you personally but I have always admired your wonderful voice that God gave you. But I will never forget you for the lovely song you sanged at the Eulogy of Sis Hartfield(my mother). Especially since you were sick and not feeling well has made me appreciate you as a person and a true servant of the Lord. You will be dearly missed. To the family may you find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and her soul is now at peace with the Lord.

Condolences to the entire Ruff, Pittman, and Thompson families. We all will truly miss her! She was a very intricate part when I decided to give my life to Christ. She didn't care what time of day or night it was, she was always there to answer bible study questions, give materials and even come and have prayer with me and the kids. I will also miss her wonderful singing voice...especially when she'd sing "Take me to the water" when we'd have baptism. The most comforting thing to know is that through it all, God kept her and now she is no longer suffering. The family will continue to be in my prayers.
