BURCH, Ann Lavonne Cox, age 55, of Jamaica, departed this world on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Survived by her husband of 32 years, L. Melvin Burch; four children, Denise Burch Trousdale and husband, Shane, stationed in Japan, L. Russell Burch and wife, Cynthia, of King William, Spencer C. Burch of Jamaica and Tyler A. Burch, also of Jamaica; a sister, Theresa Cox Hearn and husband, Herman, of Hiwassee, Va.; and six grandchildren. She overcame many hurdles in her life. Her quiet strength and determination was an inspiration to all who knew her. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Warner. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
