Michael LeVon Burgess

BURGESS, Michael LeVon, departed this life on September 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Andrew J. Burgess Sr.; and one sister, Valvertie Burgess. He is survived by his daughters, Makia Burgess of New Haven, Conn., Makenzie Burgess Gordon of Meriden, Conn., Gwendolyn Ferguson of New Haven, Conn., and Kimela Ferguson of Baltimore, Md.; two granddaughters, McAllister Molen of Baltimore, Md., and Alissa Ferguson of New Haven, Conn.; his former wife, Cassandra Burgess of New Haven, Conn.; one brother, Andrew Jackson Burgess Jr.; three sisters, Pamela Burgess, Iris Burgess and Iantha Burgess Smiley; one sister-in-law, devoted Bessie L. Burgess; one brother-in-law, devoted Larry M. Smiley; five aunts, Lillian Burgess, Beatrice Burgess of Baltimore, Md., devoted Gladys Chapman of Richmond, Lucille Maddox and Earlene Moseley of Virginia Beach; one uncle, Edward Maddox of Virginia Beach; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Avenue, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 1 p.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
