BEIGHLEY, Madeline Joyce, 88, died October 4, 2008, at the Mt. Vernon Rehabilitation and Convalescent Center in Alexandria, Va. She was born September 18, 1920 in Hanover, Va., the daughter of Horace and Emma White. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Floyd White and Gerald White. She was married for 49 years to Paul Allen Beighley Jr., who preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, The Rev. Dr. Paul Allen Beighley III; a daughter, Paulette Ellen Beighley; a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Beighley; three nieces, two nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews. She was a long term member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Va. A committal service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made to Chaplain Service of the Churches of Virginia, 2317 Westwood Avenue #103A, Richmond, Va. 23230.
