ALLEN, Virgie Nichols, age 92, of Charlotte Court House, Va., died on Thursday, October 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Daisy H. Nichols; her husband, Willie Watkins Allen; an infant son; three brothers, James, Noel and Lacy Nichols; two sisters, Clara and Georgia Tuck. Surviving are three children, Robert "Bobby" Allen (Bonnie) of Chesterfield, Va., Jimmy Allen (Libby) of Fairfax Station, Va., Linda A. Newcomb of Charlotte Court House, Va.; seven grandchildren, Dana and Timmy Allen, April Hottinger (Leroy), Renee Kuntz (Scott), Regina Schmitt (Frances), Allen Newcomb (Michelle), Brandon Newcomb; seven great-grandchildren, Wayne Allen, Taylor Newcomb, Luke Walker and Steele Hottinger, Ian and Mason Schmitt; one sister, Daisy "Buck" Fears of Charlotte Court House, Va. A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery, Charlotte Court House. The family will receive friends at the family home, 1701 Scuffletown Rd., Charlotte Court House. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad. The Browning Funeral Home in Keysville is in charge of the arrangements.
