Dear Charles, you were a brave and worthy man...thank you for your efforts to make our communities better by setting high standards and being an example of courage and determination...My brief time as your colleague in the racial struggles of the late 1960s was an inspiration to me. May all your family and friends be blessed from having known and lived you.

To the family of Charlie Farmer:
He was our neighbor for a short while and always very pleasant. He would always stop and talk to us while we were working in our yard. He always had a smile on his face and was happy for every day he had. But now he is in a better place.
