SHAPIRO, Sydner Evan, 52, of Richmond, passed away October 10, 2008. He was a devoted son of the late Adele and Henry Shapiro. He is survived by two sisters, Susan Goodman and her husband, Allan, and Evalyn Cohn and her husband, Kenny; a brother, Sanford Shapiro and his wife, Karen; four nieces, Perri Rosen and her husband, Michael, Rachel Cohn, Lauren Smith and Jodi Ashby and her husband, Jason; two nephews, Robert Cohn and Joel Shapiro; two great-nephews, Jake and Adam Henry Rosen. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Josh Goodman. Syd served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a kind soul with a good heart who never knew how to say no. A graveside service will be held 12 noon Sunday, October 12, at Richmond Beth-El Cemetery at Forest Lawn. Memorial donations may be made to Gateway Homes Inc., 11901 Reedy Branch Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23838.

We were saddened to hear about the passing away of Sydner. We were fortunate to know him. We always enjoyed being with the Shapiro family. Sydner will be missed by all of us.

Susan, Sandy and Evlen, Our prayers are with you all sorry to hear about this Sydner was a Great Friend, & Co-worker, We had many good times togeather, I always tryed to work any of his troubles out with him and I think that he always Love me for that. If it is anything I can do for you all Please let me Know Wayne Gilbert & Family Was the manager at Esterbrook for your Dad for 22 years.
