Dear Brennan family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Jim was a wonderful man. He and I worked out together at the Uptown Y most mornings for a couple of years. He was a good friend and a great family man. We both coached youth sports teams and he often spoke of how much he enjoyed coaching his sons basketball teams. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so saddened to read of Jim's death. I have often thought of you all over the years and laugh about the good times we had on Park Avenue in Richmond. Justin and I knew James and Edward, but did not know you had two more boys. You are very lucky to have them! Take care!

Dear Eddie,
I am so sorry to learn about the loss of your dad. I had been praying for him and your whole family; David Claunch has prayed aloud for you the past two days in school. I know your sorrow is deep. May the support of your school and church community bring you some kind of comfort at this difficult time. And may you find peace in knowing that your dad no longer suffers and is at peace in the arms of God. Love to you, Mrs. Burns

JB, we shared the most special friendship that two people could ever have and I truly cherished every single moment spent with you. It is rare to find such a true perfect friend, and I know that the love and caring that we shared will never die.

You remain forever in my heart and I love you, my friend.
