Louis William "Tex Barron

BARRON, Louis William "Tex," age 88, passed away Friday, October 17, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillie Sturdivant Barron; his daughter, Jean Barron Lester and her husband, Layton, of Richmond; his sister, Margarete Minshew of Odessa, Texas; a brother, Claude Barron of Shreveport, La. Mr. Barron was a veteran of WWII, Engineer Corps, Special Assignment. He was a retired employee of Chrysler Corporation, Airtemp Division, where he was an engineer and a regional sales manager. He was a lifetime member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Condition Engineers. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, Box 66, Meherrin, Va. 23954, or to the American Heart Association.
