LAMB, Elizabeth Gentry, 93, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008. She was born December 26, 1914, in Glen Allen, Va. She grew up in Richmond, Va. She lived in Hampton, Va., for several years before moving to Troutville, Va., in 1975. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverley Randolph Lamb; and a sister, Judith Kincheloe. Elizabeth was an avid hiker and a longtime member of the Appalachian Trail Club. She enjoyed classical music, painting and reading, and was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She is survived by a brother, Elliott M. Gentry of Baton Rouge, La., and several nieces and nephews, including niece, Alice Talbot. A graveside funeral service will be noon Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Park, with the Rev. Robert Copenhaver officiating. Arrangements are by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. 540-982-2100
