Mary Helen Odle Clarity

CLARITY, Mary Helen Odle, 93, died October 17, 2008 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home. Helen was born May 16, 1915 in Buck Island, Va. She was the daughter of the late James Floyd Odle and Jenny Quinn Odle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Francis Clarity, and her sister, Clara Odle Pace. She is survived by her children, Alice Ann Clarity Eells (John) of Richmond, Va., Margaret Jane "Peggy" Clarity of Charlottesville, Va., and Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Clarity Caravelli (Jack) of Falls Church, Va. In addition are four grandchildren, Sara Melissa Eells Charbonneau of Brunswick, Md., Erin Mallory Eells of Richmond, Va., John Christopher Eells of Amelia, Va., and Artyom Caravelli of Falls Church, Va. She also has two great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Melissa Charbonneau. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at the Church of the Incarnation, 1465 Incarnation Drive, Charlottesville, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903.
