Stephanie & Nichole,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. It is such a shock to hear of your loss.
I will never forget the day I interviewed and selected your mother for a job at New Cumberland Army Depot.
She was so determined to make a good life for you two daughters as a single parent. There was nothing too hard for her to tackle. She was a wonderful person and she never changed when she became the Transportation Officer and held higher positions.
We have all lost a very dear friend.
God bless her family!

Stephanie,
I am so sorry for your loss. WOW, I did not realize your Momma was so young! When I saw her this past summer, she looked so good and I just knew she was going to beat this dreadful disease. I guess God decided he wanted her with him. Know that she and your Daddy are together now. If there is anything I (or Dwight) can do please let me know.

My blessings and sympathy goes out to all family and friends. It is a very difficult time for the many people Jerri touched personally and professionally including me who has never been influenced in such a positive way as only she could do. Jerri has made many people and the DLA family a much stonger group with her leadership and strength that has been passed onto so many. I will greatly miss her.

Jerri was on that you couldn't help but respect. I was privileged to work for her at Letterkenny and again at New Cumberland. She was as fair as any Supervisor could be, and she never hesitated to ask "how's your family". She will be greatly missed. Our loss has become God's gain !

My heart goes out for the family during this time, Jerri was a wonderful person. I so much enjoyed working with her at New Cumberland and exchanging emails after she went to Richmond. I know she's not in pain any longer but the selfish part of me wishes that she were still here. Her presence in a room was huge and her glow was infectious. Jerri, you will be missed but the fond memories I have of you are a reminder how great the world can be.

My prayers go out to the daughters, parents, and grandchildren of Jerri. I had the privilege of working under Jerri at DDRV. I worked on her management team. She took us all under her wing, and taught us the true meaning of professionalism, values and integrity.

Jerri came to the depot when we were at our lowest. She had a great challenge before her. She accepted the challenge with grace, dignity and her unique style of leadership. She brought this depot back to the point where we could lift our heads and be proud. She was a class act, loved and respected by the entire work force.

It saddens my heart to know that my Manager, Mentor and friend is gone. Never would she be forgotten.

I thank God for allowing this special woman to come into my life and allowing us to create the special bond that we shared. She has made me a better person and has changed my life forever. I will truly miss her.

The last stitches of her life on earth have been sewn and the tapestry of her human life is finished. It is a marvelous picture that is now hanging the living room of God's house. She is now smiling and safe in God's presence.

Jerri and I were hired at New Cumberland Army Depot on the same day in June 1974. I was a small town girl, scared to death, and she took me under her wing and literally changed my life because I don’t know that I would have made it without her. To this day, even though she was so far away, it was a comfort to know she was there. I will love her and miss her everyday. My prayers go out to her “girls” and their families.
