WEST, Mrs. Marjorie Jordan, 91, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. West Sr. She is survived by her son, Herman L. West Jr. (Doris); two grandsons, Herman L. West III and Thomas E. Edwards III; one great-grandson, Camron D. Edwards; two brothers-in-law, Rev. George West (Mary) and Cornelius West (Inez); a niece, Theresita Austin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marjorie was a well-known beautician in the city of Richmond. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Remains will lie in state Saturday, 12 noon, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 2011 Fairmount Ave., where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Rev. Herbert L. Ponder officiating. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
