Dorothy C. Crowther

CROWTHER, Dorothy C., age 88, of Heathsville, Virginia, died Friday, October 24, 2008. Mrs. Crowther was a retiree of Northumberland County Schools, where she taught for 36 years. She was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and Farmville State Teachers College, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the teacher's professional sorority. Mrs. Crowther was the widow of Otis C. Crowther of Heathsville, Virginia, and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Crumley of Bristol , Virginia. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otis C. Crowther Jr. of Midlothian, Virginia and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Crowther of Heathsville, Virginia; her granddaughter, Fenton K. Crowther; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kristin and Connell Mullins; great-grandsons, Walker, Henry and Patrick Mullins; and her sisters, Sara J. Crumley and Carol J. Crumley. Following a family service on Monday, October 27, 2008, the family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the family home, Locust Farm.
