Helen Harris Obituary

HARRIS, Mrs. Helen Z., age 89, of Valentines, died Monday, October 27, 2008. She is survived by her children, Steve Harris of Sharpsburg, Md., Mike and Netsa Harris of Mechanicsville, and Billy and Susan Harris of Cary, N.C. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Zebertavage of Reading, Pa.; and two sisters, Anne Panchari of Seltzer, Pa., and Margaret Lengle of Reading, Pa. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, William G. "Bill" Harris. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Ken Thrasher at Prospect United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8 at Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill. Condolences will be emailed to [email protected].

I remember Helen and Bill well from First Friends Church in Portsmouth, VA. They both were wonderful people and are now resting safely in God's hands.
