Dorothy Pollack "Nana" Yospin

YOSPIN, Dorothy "Nana" Pollack, 94, wife of the late Jacob Yospin, quietly passed away Thursday, October 29, 2008 at Beth Shalom Gardens in Richmond, Va. Mrs. Yospin was born and raised in Plainfield, N.J. and spent most of her life in Elizabeth, N.J. where she was active with B'nai Brith, B'nai Israel Sisterhood, Jewish Family Services, Hadassah, The Deborah League, and the Council of Jewish Women until she retired to Delray Beach, Fla. in 1975. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lois Weiss of Freehold, N.J.; her son, Jerry Yospin of Amelia, Va.; five granddaughters, Karen Helfgott of Marlboro, N.J., Marci Walsh of Cranford, N.J., Sara Grabelle of Irvington, N.J., Shawn Yospin of Amelia, Va., and Kelly Conerly of Fredericksburg, Va.; as well as four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, (800) 938-6372. Burial will follow at Gomel Chesed Cemetery in Newark.
