Lee Clifton Black

BLACK, Lee Clifton, age 83, of Richmond, Va., died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond, Va. Lee was a native of Abingdon, Va., and local resident of Richmond since 1968. Lee was a retired employee of Exxon, a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran having received the Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal of Japan. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 50. Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Carl) Enroughty of Richmond, Va., and Lisa Black of Eden, N.C.; two sisters, Eunice Harris of New York, and Margaret Goodpasture of Roanoke, Va.; and one brother, Lewis Black of Vinton, Va.; two grandchildren, Heather Enroughty and Andrew Enroughty of Richmond, Va. Lee was preceded in death by a wife, Rubye McCroskey Black; his father, Carl Clifton Black; and mother, Berth Doss Black. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23832.
