BLACK, Lee Clifton, age 83, of Richmond, Va., died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond, Va. Lee was a native of Abingdon, Va., and local resident of Richmond since 1968. Lee was a retired employee of Exxon, a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran having received the Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal of Japan. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 50. Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Carl) Enroughty of Richmond, Va., and Lisa Black of Eden, N.C.; two sisters, Eunice Harris of New York, and Margaret Goodpasture of Roanoke, Va.; and one brother, Lewis Black of Vinton, Va.; two grandchildren, Heather Enroughty and Andrew Enroughty of Richmond, Va. Lee was preceded in death by a wife, Rubye McCroskey Black; his father, Carl Clifton Black; and mother, Berth Doss Black. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23832. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 50, P.O. Box 456, Chesterfield, Va. 23832.

Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. We live in Westover Gardens and visited with Mr. Black several times since the death of his wife. He was always appreciative of our visits with him and thanked us for our work in the neighborhood. He will be missed.
