Jerrylene Forney Marx

MARX, Jerrylene Forney, was gathered into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 6, having lovingly used her gifts in His service for 78 years. Surely she is now happily reunited with her beloved husband, Bob; her parents, Lillian and Tom Forney; and all her dear ones who have gone before. Giving thanks for her life and for her unwavering love and devotion that shaped their lives are her daughters, Karen Collier (Carl) and Janice Suttenfield (Jim); and grandchildren, Robert Collier (Sarah), Andrew Collier, Jessica Suttenfield, and Tyler Suttenfield. For these, her legacy lives in the gathering of family 'round the table, in the clear soprano voice soaring in praise to God, in the call of the owl and the leap of the deer, and the laughter born of a joke well told. Before the circumstances of life slowed her pace in recent years, Jerri was an active member of her church and her Goochland community, having served as an Elder of Hebron Presbyterian Church and as president of both the Goochland Republican Women and the Goochland Woman's Club. She was a member of the Westwood Club, the Goochland Garden Club, the Tuckahoe Woman's Club, The Woman's Club and Ikebana of Richmond. In all these activities, she most enjoyed sharing the company of dear friends, just as she did at her most recent home at Gayton Terrace. Family and friends will celebrate her life in the worship of God on Tuesday, November 11 at 2 p.m. at Hebron Presbyterian Church, 1040 Shallow Well Road, Manakin-Sabot, Virginia 23103. The family will appreciate having the opportunity to greet friends in the church Fellowship Hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hebron Presbyterian Church.
