Henry A. "Sonny" Miles Jr.

MILES, Henry A. Jr. "Sonny", passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008 with his wife of 59 years, Lois, by his side as always. He is also survived by his son, Michael (Deborah); grandchildren, Christopher Miles (Michelle), Dawn Miles, Jennifer Maul (Brian), and Erin Wennberg (Marine SSgt. Nicholas); great-grandchildren, Tyler Regi Miles, Hunter and Cassidy Maul, and Emily Wennberg. He was preceded in death by his son, GySgt. Reginald A. Miles; and grandsons, Jonathan Miles and Marine Sgt. Sean Henry Miles. Sonny was a proud veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees, 36th Special Battalion. He was a past president of the Navy League, Richmond Council. Sonny was a renowned mechanic and builder of cars and motorcycles that dreams are made of. His life has inspired us and, like the man he was, he went into the night before us to light the way. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday evening, November 10, 2008, 7 p.m. at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Winterpock Road, Chesterfield.
