SWAFFORD, Marlon, 20, of Richmond, son of Joseph F. Bernado and Laurie Swafford died Thursday, November 6, 2008 after a year long battle with cancer. Born May 15, 1988 in Washington D.C. Marlon lived with his father in Varina and worked for Bridget Beari Designs. He will be forever missed for his humor, smile, and musical talent. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kelsey; his brother, Shane; his half-brother, Terry Foster; and his girlfriend, Tanya Traner. A young man with an exuberance and passion for life, Marlon will be remembered always in our hearts.

Marlon I miss you so much,it has been almost a year since you left us . The days are very hard to get thru . The day before you died there was a beautiful rainbow . I knew than that you were crossing over. I have tried to accept your death , but I can't . I feel you with me all the time . I have not talk to Kelsey and Shane, but I know they are having a very difficult time losing you . they love you very much . Love Mom
