James Browning Obituary

BROWNING, James J., 71, of Glen Allen, Va., died Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Retreat Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie M. and Ethel Browning. He is survived by two brothers, Robert E. Pratt (Ada) of Salem, Va., and John I. Pratt (Pat) of Henrico, Va. Other survivors include one niece, one nephew, two aunts and several cousins. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, November 14, at Westhampton Memorial Park.

To the Family of James (Sonny),
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
May the Lord be especially close to you during this difficult time.
I grew up with Sonny and shared many happy times with him and his family. My family lived across the street from the Brownings. I also knew his brother, John Pratt. My sincere sympathy to you and your family.
