Cheryl, Mrs. Margaret, and Family,

You have our deepest sympathy in the loss of your mom, sister, grandmom, aunt, and/or loved one. It was truly a blessing to see Mrs. Doris each Thursday night at Lexington Healthcare Center, where she and her daughter, Cheryl, participated with the Shaw Ministry. Her sister, Mrs. Margaret, a resident, told on her one night by saying, "do you know my sister knows how to play the piano? She's been playing since a little girl!" Mrs. Doris got up and sported her small frame up to the piano and played like a champ!! It was a blessed evening! Mrs. Doris, in return, payed Mrs. Margaret back...."Do you know Margaret can walk?" Laughing out loud! Mrs. Margaret had been sitting in her wheelchair for some time.....but....yes,.... Mrs. Margaret COULD walk, (REALLY GREAT) with the assistance of a walker. Both were excited! The love of these two sisters were truly a blessing and example to us all. Heaven truly has an angel! Mrs. Doris showed LOVE, kisses, AND a beautiful smile to everyone she met. She was full of energy; we thank God for the time He allowed us to share with each other.

I am so glad that Aunt Doris and Cheryl were able to spend so many Thursday nights at Lexington Court with my GaGa over the past few years. It meant so much to her to have the opportunity to see her sister each week and to hear her play the piano for the church services. Thank you so much Cheryl for giving her that gift! I know GaGa is sad to lose her dear sister, but she is happy to know that she will be reunited with the rest of their family. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cheryl was my maid of honor 9 years ago. I will never forget how Doris, at the age of 89, out walked all of us at a bridal show! We'd sit down to rest and she'd be four or five booths ahead of us. She had such spunk and vigor. I will miss her ready smile and twinkling eyes.
