HENRY, Barbara Tucker, age 83, of Mechanicsville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. She was the daughter of Oscar Earl and Annie Mae Tucker. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter L. Henry Jr.; one daughter, Lynn Henry Myers and her husband, David, and his son, Matt; one grandson,Troy L. Barnette and his wife, Kristie; great- grandchildren, Tyler, Carter, and Kylie; one sister, Carolyn T. Nuckols and her husband, Norman; nieces, Robin Lipps, Paige DeCatur; and nephew, Todd Nuckols; and their families. She served as librarian of the Virginia Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Vision Impaired for over 10 years. She was a lifelong member of Fairmount Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2008, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Rte. 301 and Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Fairmount Christian Church Building Fund.

Walt - just heard of the passing of Barbara and am so very sorry. The news travels slow from Richmond these days and wish I had know sooner. I know she will be missed by all. Again, I am so sorry. Will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
