HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST
In loving memory of Ms. Evelyn “Fay” Stewart
God saw she was getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around her and whispered, “Come with me.”
With tear filled eyes we watched her
Suffer and fade away.
Although we loved her deeply,
we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard-working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
Ms. Evelyn “Fay” Stewart

I remember my cousin Fay when we would gather for baton practice and later march in the Christmas parades.
Not to mention how she glowed when she excel from twirling a baton to twirling fire. We would march from DMV on broad street to Parker Field.
Later as time went on Fay married and so did I going on with life, but I do remember visiting her and Mike at the trailer court on number one highway, to see their first born. ( Wendy ) Who had such a head full of hair.
I will cherish the memories and the events we did together, I will always remember Fay as a loving wife, and mother and how giving and kind one was to other people. My thoughts and prayers goes out to her Mom, her sisters Carol and Sandy, and her brother Jimmy.( whom our family had christmas dinner with from time to time, be it our house or theirs )
Fay was truly a special person and may she be with her Nannie Eva and her Dad who is with our Lord.
Rest in Peace, sweet Fay.
