My husband Joel and I met Mrs. Shackleford in the late 1980s. Not only were we customers of hers, but we considered her our friend. We moved from Richmond to NC in 1992, and used to stop and visit her on our annual trips through VA to visit family in the Northeast. I think of her every time we go through Richmond. I'm sad that we won't be able to stop and see her anymore. Our thoughts are with you.

Eventhough I have not known Mrs Shackelford a longtime I am sadden by your lost. Ive only waited on her a couple times at Applebees, She will be missed. Whipe your tears, dry your eyes for she is no longer going through life sorrows and pain and she will allways be in your hearts and ours. May God countinue to bless you and your family. I know that Tracey is truley, truely saaden by your lost and will miss her, espicaly her smile and her talks they allways had when she would come and dine. We all will miss your mom and grandmother, and greatgrandma. From your Applebees Family.
