FRIED, Jane Correll, of Glen Allen, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Herbert Fried who passed away in 1976 and is survived by her longtime companion, Robert C. "Bob" Wendt; her son, Herb Fried; daughter-in-law, Jan Fried; beloved granddaughter, Katie Fried; and many relatives in North Carolina. She was a member of Temple Beth Ahabah and the Beth Ahabah Sisterhood, past president of the National Counsel of Jewish Women, Richmond Section and gave many hours of volunteer service to various charities. She was a member of Alocoholics Anonymous for 27 years. The family will receive friends at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Hebrew Cemetery, 5th Street. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice or the Fried Family Foundation, P.O. Box 70307, Richmond, Va. 23255.
